Earth and Art
Within this project, I was a part of a team that had a goal aimed towards combining the physical with the digital. This project explores tracking spring tails using a microscope and copying their positions into Unity. We then put these digital recreations into the insect’s different environments. This project was a part of a bigger exhibition.
Within the project, I designed the code and used Unity and computer vision to pair a microscope to Unity’s engine to create a live feed of the springtails. Using some special packages, I was able to intertwine Computer vision with Unity in real time, making it less of a game and rather a piece of art.
I helped with the editing of the videos and helped design the structure of the exhibit as well. Below you can find the full documentary of this project.
